Just as in every loving relationship, we need to nourish our relationship with Jesus. Oftentimes we really just need to slow down and spend some quality quiet time with the good Lord. By breathing slowly with Him, and listening to his voice, we will ‘charge our spiritual batteries’. Days of Recollection or ‘Desert Days’ help us to do that, to step aside from our usual daily tasks and business, and draw into the Heart of Jesus.
